The AC Infinity Stainless Steel Pruning Shear Kit is a straight 6.6″ micro-tip hand shear packed with its own cleaning kit: a jar for your cleaning solution and an abrasive foam sponge with a slot the blades pass straight through. It is the straight shear plus an easy way to keep sticky residue off the blades between cuts. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer for AC Infinity: stocked in Sydney, shipped domestically.
Precision micro-tip blades
The straight micro-tip blades come to a fine point, so you can put the cut exactly where you want it — a single leaf, a small side shoot, a stem sitting right against another — without catching what's next to it. The blades are stainless steel with precision-ground edges, and a Teflon non-stick coating stops sticky plant residue building up on them, which is what normally makes small snips gum up and start to drag or jam mid-session.
Spring action and a lighter hand
A spring pushes the handles back open after every cut, so the blades are primed for the next snip without you having to open them yourself. Over a long trimming session that, together with the lightweight body and soft gel silicone grip, takes a lot of the strain out of your hand. When you are done, a sliding lock holds the shear closed, protecting the blade tips and your fingers in a drawer or tool bag.
Integrated shear cleaning
Residue on the blades is what slows a pruning shear down. The kit keeps cleaning within arm's reach: fill the jar with your preferred cleaning solution, and the abrasive foam sponge sits inside with a precision-cut insertion slot. Close the blades, pass them through the slot, and both faces are wiped in one stroke. Doing that regularly keeps the Teflon surface working and extends the life of the shear.
Pick the right shear
AC Infinity make four hand shears and Quick Bloom Lights stocks all of them. They share the same Teflon non-stick coating, spring-open handles and sliding safety lock; the difference is the blade and what it is built to cut.
| Shear | Blade | Max opening | Best for |
| 6.6″ Straight | Straight micro-tip, stainless steel | 10° | Precise snips and detail trimming where you can see and reach the cut |
| 6.6″ Curved | Curved micro-tip, stainless steel | 10° | Reaching into dense growth and tight spots without bending your wrist |
| 6.6″ Straight with Cleaning Kit (this page) | Straight micro-tip, stainless steel | 10° | The straight shear plus a jar and slotted sponge for wiping residue off between cuts |
| 8″ Bypass | Bypass, drop-forged steel, Teflon-coated | Up to 20°, side switch selects the wider opening | Thicker stems and woody growth, up to 16 mm (5/8 in) |

FAQ
Straight or curved — which should I get?
Get the straight shear if most of your cuts are in the open, where you can line the blades up square to the stem. Choose the curved 6.6″ shear if you are often working inside dense growth or at awkward angles; the curve reaches in and saves your wrist. The two work well as a pair.
Can it cut thicker stems?
It is built for fine, precise work — the micro-tip blades open to 10° and are at their best on soft, thin growth. For thicker or woody stems, the 8″ bypass shear is the right tool: it opens up to 20°, with a side switch that selects the wider opening for cuts up to 16 mm (5/8 in).
Is the shear in the kit the same as the standalone straight shear?
It has the same straight stainless micro-tip blades, Teflon coating, spring action, gel grip and safety lock as the standalone straight 6.6″ shear. AC Infinity list the kit shear at 17 cm total length against 16.8 cm for the standalone. The kit adds the cleaning jar and slotted sponge.
What goes in the cleaning jar?
Your preferred blade-cleaning solution — AC Infinity leave the choice to you. Fill the jar, and the abrasive foam sponge sits in it with a precision-cut slot: close the blades and pass them through the slot to wipe both faces clean in one stroke.
Is this genuine AC Infinity stock?
