The AC Infinity AI Climate Sensor is a 7.32 m corded probe for the Controller AI+, reading temperature and humidity and feeding VPD back to the controller. It is the sensor to add when the thing you need to measure is a long way from the controller — the far end of a room, inside ductwork, the opposite corner of a subfloor — or when you want the AI+'s second zone reading somewhere its own probe cannot reach.
Twice the reach of the included probe
The probe that ships with the Controller AI+ is 3.66 m. This one is 7.32 m, which is the difference between the controller having to live near the thing it measures and the controller living wherever is convenient. In a two-tent setup that usually means mounting the controller on a wall between them and running a long probe into the second tent; in a house it means the controller by the door and the sensor at the far end of the crawl space.
The head is type 316 SAE steel with a thermal-alloy sensing element, which is a slower-sounding way of saying it changes temperature quickly and does not corrode in a humid space. Fast response matters for automation — a laggy probe makes the controller chase a number that has already moved.
Built for damp places
A water-resistant gasket gives the probe an IP44 rating, so splashing water and dust are not a problem. That covers the realistic cases — misting, condensation on duct runs, dust in a subfloor or roof space. It is not rated for immersion; if you need a probe that goes into water, that is the hydro sensor.

FAQ
Will it work with my Controller 69 Pro?
No. This is an AI sensor and plugs into the sensor ports on the Controller AI+. The 69 Pro and Pro+ use their own included probe and have no sensor ports. If you want the 69's probe extended, that is a different part — the 6.09 m controller sensor probe.
Is this how I set up the AI+'s second zone?
It is one way, and usually the best one. The AI+ reads two zones — the built-in sensor and a plugged-in one — and this sensor's length lets the second reading point be genuinely somewhere else rather than just the other side of the same tent.
Can I use two of them?
Yes, the controller has two sensor ports. Bear in mind that using both for climate means no port left for a CO₂, soil, hydro or water sensor. There is no sensor splitter available yet.
Can I run it inside a duct?
Yes — it is a common use, and the IP44 gasket is there for exactly that sort of position. Put the head in the airstream and keep the cable clear of the impeller.
Can I extend it further?
We would not recommend it. Sensor readings over a long run are sensitive to cable quality and interference, and 7.32 m is already generous. If you need a reading from further away than that, a wireless approach or a second controller is the more reliable answer — send us the layout and we will tell you which.
