The Athena IPW (Integrated Plant Wash) is Athena's crop-protection spray, formulated from essential oils to deal with soft-bodied insects and powdery mildew on contact. It works with either Athena nutrient line, can be used from seedling through to harvest, and doubles as a leaf wash to keep foliage clean.
How it works
IPW is sprayed onto the plant, where it penetrates crevices and leaf surfaces — the places soft-bodied insects shelter and powdery mildew takes hold. Athena formulates it without synthetic pesticides or fungicides, using essential-oil based ingredients sourced in the USA. In the US it carries EPA 25(b) exempt status as a minimum-risk product.
Getting the application right
Dilute IPW with water according to the label and apply as a foliar spray, covering the tops and undersides of leaves. Spray when the lights are off or about to go off — oil-based sprays under intense light can scorch leaves. For routine leaf cleaning, follow Athena's IPW leaf wash procedure (PDF).

FAQ
Can I spray it in flower?
Athena states IPW can be used from seedling to harvest. As with any foliar spray, apply carefully once flowers are forming and keep coverage even, and follow the label for timing.
Why spray at lights-off?
Oil-based sprays sitting on leaves under intense light can cause leaf burn. Spraying as the lights go off gives it time to work and dry before the next light period.
Does it matter which nutrient line I use?
No. IPW is a foliar product and works alongside either the Blended or Pro Line.
Which size should I buy?
The 0.9 L bottle suits a home tent or two. The 3.78 L is better value for larger rooms or regular preventative use.
